The option of supervised visits assisted by the Ministry of Social Affairs is available to ensure that a child has regular contact with the parent granted access rights in the presence of an accompanying person specially trained for this purpose if there is no other or only limited possibilities for their contact.
Such supervised meetings between the child and the parent living elsewhere take place in a neutral setting. Supervised visits are either ordered by the court or requested by this parent – subject to the consent of the other parent – and are organised on the basis of an „official“ recommendation made by the youth welfare office or the children and youth ombuds-office.
The supervised visits offered by the BMASGK are free of charge for vulnerable families.
